There are two methods for encapsulating your placenta.
The first one is the Steamed Method, with this method the placenta is steamed before the drying out process begins. Women have reported this method to be more calming and rebalancing.
The second one is the Simple Method, with this the placenta begins the drying-out process from its raw state. Women have reported this method to be more energising.
Both methods will still provide all the amazing benefits but are just a little stronger in the above-mentioned areas. The most popular method is the Simple Method.
If you decide to go ahead, then the process is really simple. Once you are booked in, we send you a cooler pack about 6 weeks before your due date. You put this in your freezer ready to go to the hospital. When your labour starts, and you are told to go to the hospital, you take this out of the freezer and take it with you.
As soon as you can, tell your midwife that you wish to keep your placenta
When baby arrives, the midwife will put your placenta in a placenta bag and it then goes into the cooler pack ready for collection. You then simply call the number from your welcome e-mail (24/7, 365) and we will send our courier to collect your placenta from the hospital. The process then takes 48hrs and we deliver back to you for when you arrive back home.
As a general rule we can still carry out the placenta encapsulation process if you have not smoked beyond your week 20 scan. I’ve you have smoked beyond this point and/or intend to smoke throughout your pregnancy, you can still have the process but you must choose our gummies as your base product, rather than any of the pills methods. You can still have our add on products such as the our placenta oil, face cream etc.
If you are considering or have placed an order and you feel that your circumstances may be slightly different, then please do give us a call between 9am-5pm on 0333 009 0812 and we’ll be happy to discuss your options.
